Softball Recap: Marlboro County Takes a Loss

Marlboro County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aynor Blue Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in April.

Marlboro County's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Aynor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

While Marlboro County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
