Basketball Game Preview: Lawrence-Nelson Raiders vs. Diller-Odell Griffin

The Lawrence-Nelson Raiders will face off against the Diller-Odell Griffin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lawrence-Nelson will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Lawrence-Nelson was able to grind out a solid win over Axtell, taking the game 42-32.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lawrence-Nelson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aidan Zikmund, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Sawyer Cox, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Diller-Odell came up short against Southern on Tuesday and fell 47-40.

Lawrence-Nelson's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Diller-Odell, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Lawrence-Nelson took their win against Diller-Odell when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 47-27. Will Lawrence-Nelson repeat their success, or does Diller-Odell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
