Softball Recap: North Mac Comes Up Short

North Mac's last matchup with Carlinville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Friday. The Panthers lost 7-0 to the Cavaliers. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost five in a row.

North Mac saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabelle Bickel, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Bickel's first of the season.

North Mac's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Carlinville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Mac will take on Southwestern at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlinville, they will head out to challenge Triad at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Cavaliers surely won't give up without a fight.
