Basketball Recap: Lawrence's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

It was a good run, but Lawrence unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Climax-Scotts Panthers, falling 44-21. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in December of 2018.

Lawrence's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Hailey Camp, who posted seven points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Carolina Mancera, who scored eight points in addition to nine boards and five steals. Camp has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last 29 times she's played.

Lawrence's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Climax-Scotts, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Lawrence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Climax-Scotts, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 38-37 loss against Zion Christian on the 12th.
