Basketball Recap: Orange Cove Comes Up Short

Orange Cove was the 57-50 winner over Minarets when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs on Wednesday.

Bruce Lee had an outrageously good game for Minarets as he dropped a double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds. Michael Reyes was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.

Orange Cove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Minarets, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Orange Cove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-43 loss against Delano on the 26th. As for Minarets, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lindsay at 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd.
