Soccer Game Preview: Kimball vs. Conrad

The Kimball Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Conrad Chargers at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Kimball is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Kimball's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Madison with a sharp 7-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won three in a row.

Kimball's offense was hitting Madison from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Bryan Barrios led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Conrad hasn't lost a match since February 22nd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Monday. They won by a goal and slipped past Carter 3-2. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 277th, while the Cowboys are ranked 576th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Conrad pushed their record up to 15-3-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five contests. As for Kimball, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5-3.
