Basketball Recap: Mcarthur Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Dr. Krop last Saturday, McArthur came back down to earth. The McArthur Mustangs lost to the Monsignor Pace Spartans on the road by a 66-49 margin on Monday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, McArthur still got an impressive performance from Ciara Sejour, who went 12 for 26 on her way to 27 points. Sejour's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylah Bryant, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

McArthur's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-3. As for Monsignor Pace, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.

McArthur won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pembroke Pines Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monsignor Pace, they will venture away from home to challenge Seacrest Country Day at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
