Basketball Recap: Jacksonville Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Jacksonville won the last time they faced Hallsville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Jacksonville Fightin' Indians took down the Hallsville Bobcats 58-41. Given the Fightin' Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Bobcats are ranked 903rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jacksonville has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season. As for Hallsville, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-22.

Jacksonville will take on Texas at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Hallsville, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Hallsville Bobcats face off against the Lufkin Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
