Basketball Preview: Concord Minutemen vs. Jimtown Jimmies
Concord has gone 9-1 against Jimtown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Concord Minutemen will venture away from home to challenge the Jimtown Jimmies at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Concord has three straight wins, Jimtown has 14 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Concord will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Goshen, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Concord put the hurt on Goshen with a sharp 54-30 victory on Saturday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Concord to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shelby Emerick, who went 8 for 12 on her way to 20 points and three steals. Emerick is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shiloh Smith, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 13 points.
Meanwhile, Jimtown played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against LaVille, falling 43-19. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Jimmies have suffered against the Lancers since November 2, 2017.
Concord's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Jimtown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
Concord strolled past Jimtown in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 36-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for Concord since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
