Recap: Forge Christian Fury vs. Eaton Reds
After flying high against the Steamboat Springs Sailors last Friday, The Forge Christian Fury came back down to earth. Forge Christian took a hard 24-7 fall against Eaton on Friday. It was the first time this season that Forge Christian let down their fans at home.
Sullivan Strange rushed for 79 yards on only eight carries. Brenden Hardy was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards and no touchdowns.
Forge Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Eaton, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Forge Christian will head out on the road to face off against Fort Lupton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Fort Lupton is ranked 138th, while Forge Christian is ranked 121st). As for Eaton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against The Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
