Football Game Preview: Redmond Mustangs vs. Newport - Bellevue Knights + How To Watch

The Redmond Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Newport - Bellevue Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Redmond has given up an average of 44.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Redmond is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Friday. They were outmatched by Hazen and fell 49-14. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Highlanders are ranked 94th).

Meanwhile, Newport - Bellevue played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Inglemoor, falling 41-17. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Redmond will have to contain Tj Rhatigan as he made an impact in Newport - Bellevue's last game. He rushed for 118 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Rhatigan is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Redmond's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Newport - Bellevue, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Redmond suffered a grim 45-20 defeat to Newport - Bellevue when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Cole Oliver (who threw for 289 yards and three TDs while completing 88% of his passes, and also rushed for 50 yards and one score) won't be suiting up this time.
