Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Adonay Gonzalez and Aaron Tena Lead Wray to Victory

Wray won the last time they faced Holyoke and things went their way on Saturday too. The Wray Eagles managed a 53-47 victory over the Holyoke Dragons.

Wray was led to victory by Aaron Tena and Adonay Gonzalez. Tena dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 boards, while Gonzalez went 7 of 9 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Trejo, who posted six points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Wray smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Wray's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Holyoke, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wray will head out to take on Sedgwick County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sedgwick County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season. As for Holyoke, they will challenge Stratton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
