It was fun while it lasted, but Cumberland County's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. They came up short against the William Blount Governors, falling 16-2. The loss was the Jets' first of the season.

Eli Ostrander made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Titus Ostrander, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cumberland County fell to 3-1. As for William Blount, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Cumberland County will take on Station Camp in a tournament on Saturday. As for William Blount, they will face off against Science Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
