Basketball Game Preview: Summit Spartans vs. Page Patriots

The Summit Spartans will take on the Page Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Page took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Summit, who comes in off a win.

Summit will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Brentwood, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Summit had just enough and edged Brentwood out 48-46. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Bruins are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, Page was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 72-54 fall against Centennial.

The win snapped Summit's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-6 record. As for Page, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

Summit didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Page when the teams last played on January 9th, but they still walked away with an 83-79 victory. Does Summit have another victory up their sleeve, or will Page turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
