Basketball Game Preview: St. Anthony Yellowjackets vs. Providence Catholic Provets

The St. Anthony Yellowjackets will take on the Providence Catholic Provets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in St. Anthony's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Providence Catholic has been banged up by 14 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Last Tuesday, St. Anthony beat St. Augustine 46-37. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Providence Catholic lost 50-25 to St. Joseph Academy on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Provets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1564th, while the Bloodhounds are ranked 457th).

St. Anthony's victory bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Providence Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-29.

Everything came up roses for St. Anthony against Providence Catholic in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured a 64-35 win. Will St. Anthony repeat their success, or does Providence Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
