Baseball Recap: Old Orchard Beach Comes Up Short

Old Orchard Beach came into this matchup off a tough 11-run defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Mount Abram Roadrunners by a score of 14-12 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Seagulls have suffered since June 6, 2024.

Aiden Hodgkins put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hodgkins was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Trot Moody was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.
