Simla had won 12 straight home games dating back to last season and Ava Leininger did her part to make it 13 on Friday. Everything went the Cubs' way against the Fountain Valley Danes as they made off with a 3-0 win for which the team can thank Leininger, who had 11 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Simla took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-5, 25-5.

Fountain Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Olivia Nunez-Alley, who had 14 digs and one block, and Ainsley Joseph, who had 16 digs.

Simla's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Fountain Valley, they moved to 8-6 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
