Football Recap: Yucaipa Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Yucaipa had taken Silverado down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Thunderbirds lost 37-14 to the Hawks. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Despite the loss, Yucaipa still got an impressive performance from Deace Turner, who rushed for 82 yards and one TD on only 11 carries.

Aumaurieon Bailey was nothing short of spectacular for Silverado: he rushed for 296 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per carry. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Bailey a new career-high.

Yucaipa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Silverado, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yucaipa will head out to face off against Shadow Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Silverado, they will venture away from home to take on Patriot at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
