            Waunakee's game  on Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Janesville Parker Vikings as they made off with  an  8-2 victory.

 Zaria Hyman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on three hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for  her.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Ryla Ripp, who  went 2-for-4 with two  doubles, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Waunakee  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Janesville Parker only managed three  hits.
Waunakee's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Janesville Parker, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
 Coming up, Waunakee will take on Milton at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The timing is sure in the Warriors' favor as the  team sits on four straight wins at home while the Red Hawks have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Janesville Parker, they will square off against Verona at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
