Volleyball Recap: West Clermont Takes a Loss

West Clermont lost against Anderson back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolves came up short against the Raptors, falling 3-0. The Wolves' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

West Clermont was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 26-24, 27-25, 28-26.

Trent Cottrell paced West Clermont's offense, picking up nine kills. Cottrell got some help from Jordan Michael Pack and his 14 assists. Conner Hergert and Gabe Cochran kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

West Clermont's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Anderson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Clermont will challenge Turpin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Anderson, they will take on Mason at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
