Central took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Anson, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Anson on Monday, sneaking past 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Dylan Tomberlin was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Catoe, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games.
