Softball Recap: Caldwell Takes a Loss

Caldwell fell victim to Montclair and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Mounties by a score of 1-0. The Chiefs just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Caldwell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lylah Ulrich, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 7-12-1. As for Montclair, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldwell will square off against West Essex at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Montclair, they will face off against Teaneck on Saturday.
