Football Recap: Gustine Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Gustine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 21-12 to the Le Grand Bulldogs. The Reds were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Le Grand found their leader in freshman Thomas Benting, who rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Those 149 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Benting.

Gustine's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Le Grand, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

When Gustine and Le Grand next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Reds will try to stop Stone Ridge Christian's four-game winning streak when they meet at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Le Grand will take on Yosemite and their six-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
