Recap: Gooding Senators vs. Kimberly Bulldogs

The Gooding Senators fell victim to the Kimberly Bulldogs''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 45-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. Gooding has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braden Martin threw for 118 yards on 11 of 28 attempts. Bryce Patterson was his top target, picking up 94 receiving yards.

Parker Stringham was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 77 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also picked up 67 receiving yards. Kasen Hammond was in the mix as well, providing Kimberly with two touchdowns.

Gooding's defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-0 Declo and 10-2 Homedale (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 68.9% over those games). As for Kimberly, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

Gooding will head out on the road to face off against Kimberly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kimberly knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Gooding likes a good challenge. As for Kimberly, they will be playing at home against Gooding at 7:00 p.m.
