Basketball Recap: John Bapst Memorial Comes Up Short

John Bapst Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 52-41 to the Orono Riots. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Riots are ranked 15th).

John Bapst Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Orono, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Bapst Memorial will square off against Bucksport at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. John Bapst Memorial is facing Bucksport at the right time seeing as Bucksport is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
