Basketball Game Preview: Loudon Redskins vs. Lenoir City Panthers

The Loudon Redskins will take on the Lenoir City Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Loudon will be strutting in after a win while Lenoir City will be coming in after a loss.

Loudon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Greenback 85-17 on Friday. The Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lenoir City came up short against Heritage on Tuesday and fell 63-50. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 330th, while the Mountaineers are ranked 106th).

Lenoir City dropped their record down to 1-13 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Loudon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Loudon skirted past Lenoir City 58-55 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Does Loudon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lenoir City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
