Volleyball Recap: Poudre Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Legacy

Poudre faced Legacy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Impalas had just enough and edged out the Lightning 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Impalas sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:three sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 25-27, 28-26, 25-18, 24-26, 15-13.

Chase Hawkinson paced Poudre's offense, picking up 25 kills. Hawkinson got some help from Chais Soderberg and his 57 assists.

Poudre's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. As for Legacy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-2.
