Basketball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Liberty Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat the North Point Grizzlies and fell 50-47. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly three points.

Liberty now has a losing record at 1-2. As for North Point, they pushed their record up to 2-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Liberty Eagles duke it out with the Hillsboro Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Point, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 40-34 defeat against Washington on the 10th.
