Softball Recap: Bellwood-Antis Finds Playoff Glory Versus Richland

It's playoff time, and Bellwood-Antis had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Richland Rams by a score of 11-8 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Palynn Gregg made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Bellwood-Antis got a massive performance out of London McKee, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs McKee has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Amyra Snyder, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Bellwood-Antis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richland only managed six hits.

Bellwood-Antis now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Richland, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9.

As of now, neither Bellwood-Antis nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
