Baseball Recap: Riverhead Comes Up Short

Riverhead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 6-3 to the Walt Whitman Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Waves have lost by exactly three runs.

Riverhead's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Walt Whitman, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-10 record this season.

Riverhead does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walt Whitman, they will challenge Central Islip at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
