Football Recap: Carlisle Takes a Loss

Carlisle extended their losing streak to eight on Friday, dropping them down to 0-8. They were dealt a 57-19 loss at the hands of the Cedar Cliff Colts. On the bright side, the 19- point effort marked the Thundering Herd's highest-scoring game to date.

As for Cedar Cliff, the win got them back to even at 4-4. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded them with their most commanding win of the season.

Landon Howell had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 122 yards and one TD on only 15 carries. He has become a key player for Cedar Cliff: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carlisle will welcome State College at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Little Lions will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Thundering Herd surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cedar Cliff, they will be playing at home against Altoona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
