The Meadows School is a perfect 4-0 against Boulder City since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
The Meadows School had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Pahrump Valley on Wednesday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Trojans. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Carson Rinetti made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hudson Falb, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for The Meadows School: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-9 otherwise. Connor McGill was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
The Meadows School always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Boulder City made easy work of Chaparral on Wednesday and carried off a 12-3 win.
Will Teeples tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Gavin Robinson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Gauge Andrews, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Boulder City has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for The Meadows School, their record now sits at 13-9.
The Meadows School came out on top in a nail-biter against Boulder City in their previous meeting on Friday, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
