The Riverdale Raiders are on the road again on Wednesday and plays the Hardaway Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on February 21st. Riverdale has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Whitewater scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Riverdale still came out on top. Riverdale took their contest against Whitewater 71-58.
Masiah Jones was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 35 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Khaleel Annunziata, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hardaway suffered their closest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Bainbridge by a score of 50-47.
Despite their loss, Hardaway saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mekhi Benton, who scored 17 points along with two steals, was perhaps the best of all. Benton has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last five times he's played. Johnathan Kyles was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Riverdale now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Hardaway, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-12.
