Baseball Game Preview: St. Peter Saints vs. New Ulm Eagles

St. Peter is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They will look to defend their home field against the New Ulm Eagles at 5:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

On Thursday, St. Peter got the win against Worthington by a conclusive 13-3. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when New Ulm faced off against Waseca on Thursday. The Eagles blew past the Bluejays 13-2.

New Ulm's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for St. Peter, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.

St. Peter was able to grind out a solid victory over New Ulm in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 5-1. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
