Alabama Christian Academy will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Montgomery Academy extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Eagles blew past Prattville Christian Academy, posting a 46-6 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Panthers are ranked 297th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Montgomery Academy found their leader in sophomore Reid McBride, who rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 239 yards and a pair of TDs on only 19 passes. McBride's longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. 100 of McBride's passing yards were hauled in by Jarrett Friendly.

Montgomery Academy's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. Prattville Christian Academy's QB won't forget John Bennett Lester anytime soon given he sacked him four times.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Alabama Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against Slocomb on Friday as they made off with a 35-14 victory.

Montgomery Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Alabama Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
