Football Recap: West Anchorage Eagles vs. Eagle River Wolves

With a playoff game on the line, West Anchorage rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They beat the Eagle River Wolves by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 26-6. Considering the Eagles have won nine matchups by more than 19 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Ariel Misa, who threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to West Anchorage's defense and their five sacks. Ashlen Sereyko was especially locked on to Eagle River's QB and sacked her three times.

The win (which was West Anchorage's fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-3. As for Eagle River, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

West Anchorage will be playing in front of their home fans against Dimond at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Anchorage will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Eagle River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
