Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Wednesday. Ridgeview had just enough and edged out Palatka 4-2. Ridgeview has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Palatka, too.

Tyson Brown was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. James Norton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Ridgeview has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs this season. As for Palatka, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeview will host Orange Park at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Palatka, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m.
