Soccer Game Preview: Gordon Central vs. Chattooga

The Gordon Central Warriors will head out to challenge the Chattooga Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Gordon Central is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Dade County on Tuesday. Gordon Central fell just short of Dade County by a score of 2-1. Gordon Central have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Chattooga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Armuchee. That's two games in a row now that Chattooga has lost by just one goal.

Chattooga's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Gordon Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Gordon Central beat Chattooga by a goal when the teams last played back in March of 2022, winning 4-3. Will Gordon Central repeat their success, or does Chattooga has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
