Basketball Recap: Lutheran Northwest Find Success

Lutheran Northwest won the last time they faced Plymouth Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Lutheran Northwest Crusaders managed a 45-41 victory over the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Lutheran Northwest had a senior duo take command as Calan Denne posted 13 points and eight boards and Isaac Henry went 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for Henry. PJ Thiesson was another key player, putting up four points and ten rebounds.

Lutheran Northwest's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Lutheran Northwest will head out to take on Hazel Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plymouth Christian Academy has already played their next contest (against Southfield Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
