Volleyball Recap: Beachwood Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Beachwood's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 4th.

While Beachwood might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Cuyahoga Heights scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Riley Dodds paced Beachwood's offense, picking up 12 kills. Dodds got some help from Casie B and her 25 assists. Dodds also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Miriam Aschkenasy, each putting up four.

Beachwood is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Cuyahoga Heights, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Beachwood will challenge Fairview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cuyahoga Heights, they will square off against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
