Aryana Hussain was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Alyssa Rigali was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.
TERRA Environmental always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ferguson only posted an OBP of .410.
Meanwhile, Mater Bay Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Academy for Innovative Education, falling 23-7.
Ayla Martin made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Santiago, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Mater Bay Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for TERRA Environmental, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Mater Bay Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. TERRA Environmental has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.7 strikeouts per game.
