Palo Alto will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against MacDonald on Friday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Condor with a sharp 14-2 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.
Kira Tzeng made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Tzeng was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lynbrook never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against MacDonald on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Condor 21-19. The victory was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Palo Alto is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. Lynbrook's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Palo Alto has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Lynbrook, though, as they've been averaging 10.6 hits. Given Palo Alto's sizable advantage in that area, Lynbrook will need to find a way to close that gap.
Palo Alto took their victory against Lynbrook in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 14-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Palo Alto since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
