Weber and Syracuse are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. Weber will be playing in front of their home fans against Syracuse at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Weber is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Davis, who was ranked 17th at the time (Weber was ranked fourth). Weber lost 3-0 to Davis on Wednesday. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Weber it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, Syracuse had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They never let the Silverwolves get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Syracuse's winning goal came courtesy of Emery Smith.

Having lost for the first time this season, Weber fell to 7-1. As for Syracuse, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything went Weber's way against Syracuse in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Weber made off with a 4-1 win. Does Weber have another victory up their sleeve, or will Syracuse turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
