Basketball Game Preview: Selma Bears vs. Immanuel Eagles

The Selma Bears will face off against the Immanuel Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Selma is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Central Valley Christian by a score of 68-57 on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bears' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 989th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 335th).

Meanwhile, Immanuel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-57 heartbreaker at the hands of Sierra Pacific.

Immanuel's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Selma, their victory bumped their record up to 3-14.

Selma beat Immanuel 88-77 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Selma repeat their success, or does Immanuel have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
