Heath is 10-0 against Newark Catholic since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Heath Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Newark Catholic Green Wave at 7:15 p.m. Heath is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Last Tuesday, Heath was able to grind out a solid victory over Watkins Memorial, taking the game 47-37. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Warriors are ranked 517th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jordan Kaminsky was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 11 en route to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Duston, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Meanwhile, Newark Catholic ended up a good deal behind Licking Valley on Wednesday and lost 75-61. The Green Wave have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Heath's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Newark Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Everything went Heath's way against Newark Catholic when the teams last played back in January, as Heath made off with a 50-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heath since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
