Basketball Recap: Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Beats Louisville for Their Second Straight Win

If Louisville wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, they should've done a better job of containing Jayde Kreifels. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder pulled ahead with a 35-34 photo finish over the Louisville Lions on Friday thanks in part to Kreifels, who posted ten points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Francis, who put up five points and six steals. She is becoming a predictor of Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is undefeated (and 3-10 when she doesn't).

Louisville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Carly Haun, who had 11 points and five rebounds. Haun continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Noelle Larson, who earned ten points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder and bumps their season record up to 9-10. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 6-14 Louisville and 6-11 Louisville. As for Louisville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-40 loss against Syracuse on the 8th. As for Louisville, they will face off against Raymond Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Louisville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
