It was an underclassman who stole the show on Monday as Haley Helm came into the contest on a mission. She wasn't messing around, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). The pitching appearance was her third straight with 11 or more strikeouts.

Coming up, Helm and Champaign Central are taking a road trip to square off against Rantoul at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
