Basketball Recap: Port Allen's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Port Allen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Brusly Panthers at home by a 61-42 margin. The Pelicans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 53-49.

Port Allen's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9. As for Brusly, they pushed their record up to 18-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Port Allen and Brusly should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Port Allen (ranked 107th) will meet North Central (ranked 251st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Brusly will square off against Bogalusa at 6:00 p.m. on Monday up 245 places (99 vs. 344).
