Basketball Recap: Window Rock Comes Up Short

Window Rock lost against Farmington back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Window Rock Fighting Scouts had to suffer through a 74-34 loss at the hands of the Farmington Scorpions. The Fighting Scouts just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Despite the loss, Window Rock still got an impressive performance from Jaylen Brown, who posted 11 points and five steals. Brown is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season.

It was another big night for Landon Begay, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven steals and five assists for Farmington. Those seven steals gave Begay a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Beck, who had six points along with five assists and five steals.

Window Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Farmington, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Window Rock didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-50 win against Shiprock on the 13th. As for Farmington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-34 victory against Canon City on the 13th.
