Baseball Recap: Oconto Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Oconto had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Crandon Cardinals a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Blue Devils have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Oconto's ninth in a row) raised their record to 17-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Crandon, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
